Strawberry Line by Beak>
English experimental electronic rock band Beak> is back with their new album, ">>>>". This album blends Krautrock, Neo-Psychedelia, Experimental, and Post-Rock—essentially all the genres I love. I had a great time listening to it. The opening track, "Strawberry Line," was my favorite.
Death & Romance by Magdalena Bay
The new single by Miami duo Magdalena Bay is a fantastic blend of pop, rock, and psychedelia. It's a great start for their long-awaited upcoming album. I am definitely interested in hearing more after this.
My guy (Corporate shuffle) by underscores
April Harper Grey, also known as Underscores, is back with a new single. This song sounds both familiar and refreshingly new. It's a great mix of Glitch Pop, Hyperpop, Future Bass, Indie Pop, and Indie Rock.
Frogs by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
As a big Nick Cave fan, I am pleasantly surprised by this release. The vocals and instruments are breathtaking, delivering a rich and dramatic performance. I can't wait for the full album.
She's Gone, Dance On by Disclosure
I must say that I'm not usually big on UK Garage, House, Deep House, UK Bass, UK Funky, Deep Tech, or any of these genres. However, I really liked this new release by the English electronic music duo consisting of brothers Howard and Guy Lawrence. It's quite simple, and I had fun listening to it. I might be coming around.
icantbelieveiletyougetaway by aldn
Aldn, also known as Alden Gardner Robinson, is back with an amazing new track called "icantbelieveiletyougetaway." It's typical Alt-Pop/Hyperpop/Digicore/Indietronica, but I really loved the instrumentation on this one. It has a chilling vibe that I truly appreciate.
Run Your Mouth by The Marías
Indie band The Marías is back with a brand new album titled "Submarine." It's an amazing Dream Pop release that brings a lot of hope to the genre. The album is both dreamy and gloomy, giving a strong impression of "floating." There are many great songs on it, but "Run Your Mouth" was my favorite.
Aey Nehin by Arooj Aftab
Pakistani-American singer, composer, and producer Arooj Aftab is back with an amazing new record, "Night Reign." While being pretty simplistic in nature, it brings a lot of emotion, and the overall quality of the album is enjoyable. It's a nice mix of Chamber Folk, Ambient, and Art Pop. My favorite song was the opening track, "Aey Nehin."
House of Ideas by Thou
Sludge and Doom Metal are generally hit or miss for me, but this one was definitely a hit. The new record by Thou, titled "Umbilical," proves that this band keeps getting better and better. It has the perfect amount of heaviness and anger. "House of Ideas" was my favorite track.
The Dream of Delphi by Bat For Lashes
I pressed play on this record and was blown away by the opening track. Unfortunately, the other songs on "The Dream of Delphi" didn't hit as hard, but overall, it was a satisfying album.
Milk Boy (I Love You) by King Hannah
"Big Swimmer" is the newest record by King Hannah. It's a very familiar blend of Indie Rock, Alternative Rock, Slowcore, and Slacker Rock, but with a fresh approach and amazing guitars. I had fun listening to it, and "Milk Boy (I Love You)" was my favorite track.
The Border by Willie Nelson
It's really impressive how amazing Willie Nelson still is. This new record, "The Border," may not be his greatest work ever, but it's definitely worth a listen. The opening track was my favorite.
Teenage Summer by Crowded House
Crowded House is back with a new record titled "Gravity Stairs," and please check out that album cover; I loved the reference. It's a really solid Soft Rock effort, and my favorite track was "Teenage Summer."
Don't Stop by Bad Nerves
Discovering this band was a delight, and I'm thrilled about it. Their Garage Punk/Power Pop record, "STILL NERVOUS," evoked just the right amount of angst for me. It was messy and fun, capturing the essence of pop in a way that resonated with my taste. "Don't Stop" stood out as my favorite track, sealing the deal—I'm definitely a new fan.
Singapore Sadie by Richard Thompson
"Ship To Shore" marks the latest release from English singer, songwriter, and guitarist Richard Thompson. With exceptional songwriting throughout, this album offers a soothing Folk Rock experience. Among its tracks, "Singapore Sadie" was my favorite.
places to be by Fred again.., Anderson .Paak & CHIKA
I didn't anticipate enjoying this as much as I did, but it truly impressed me. The featured artists were exceptional, and their contributions blended seamlessly. While I'm not usually inclined to dance, this track nearly had me on my feet. It was an absolute blast!
Live Small Party Huge by Alleen Plains
While I'm not familiar with the artist, this track caught my attention. Its Psychedelic Pop vibe is captivating, leaving me eager to explore more of this artist's work in the future.
